Who Am I?
I’m a competitor and athlete who never does anything by half measures. When I discovered the sport of Agility over 10 years ago, my “just for fun” hobby quickly turned into a lifestyle, a calling, and a profession. I’ve dedicated the subsequent years to learning everything I can about dog training, canine biology, and elite performance. No topic is off limits: from canine anatomy, to neurobiology, to learning theory and more, I have become obsessed with how to train better to gain that 1% extra performance. After all, 1% is the difference between being on the podium and standing in the crowd.
As a coach, I’ll use this obsession and attention to detail to hone in on tiny adjustments to handling and training with huge impacts. My students love my systematic approach to breaking any exercise down, ensuring that the dog fully understands each skill under a variety of influences before building it up into a broader sequence. I know first hand how much the mental state of both the dog, and the handler, impact our success in this sport. It's a topic I’m incredibly passionate about, and something that finds its way into every coaching opportunity.
I love students who ask a lot of questions and are ready to push themselves beyond the limits of what they thought was possible. Our work won’t be easy, and it will probably be uncomfortable, but I guarantee we’ll unlock the next level of potential!
